Bianca is one of the most highly regarded celebrity makeup artists on the beauty and fashion circuit today. Having stepped into the entertainment industry in the year 1999 as a VJ for Channel [V], Bianca eventually found her calling as a makeup artist. In the pursuit of excellence, she honed her skills under the tutelage of over 50 internationally renowned makeup artists, including Val Garland, Pati Dubroff, Mario Dedivanovic, Sir John, Alex Box, Bobbi Brown, Romero Jennings, Kristofer Buckle and Kabuki, among others. Her makeup career received an illustrious start with Manish Malhotra and Shahab Durazi’s collections at India Couture Week. She has been the official Makeup and Hair Designer for Femina Miss India and Miss India Universe since 2015 to date. Her celebrity clientele is headlined by the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Sania Mirza and Sachin Tendulkar, to name a few.
Armed with more than a decade of experience in the beauty industry, she has been privy to its inner workings. It was here that she noticed a glaring gap in hygiene in the usage of beauty tools and makeup products. This motivated her to conceptualize the country’s first-ever cosmetic sanitising label, ‘Code Beauty’. With the onset of the pandemic, potential bacteria resting on makeup brushes, sponges and hair styling tools has become a common concern. With uniquely formulated cosmetic sanitisers, anti- bacterial cosmetic sanitising wipes and hand-poured cleansing balms for brushes and sponges, the label ensures that beauty and hygiene needn’t be mutually exclusive.
Bianca says, “Code Beauty is India’s answer to hygiene in the beauty industry. While hair and makeup artists are currently using commercially available surface disinfectants and surgical spirits on their makeup products and beauty tools, this ruins the texture and composition in the long run. There has never been any range of hygiene products that can be used on makeup and hairstyling tools specifically, and Code Beauty aims to bridge that gap.”
As a market leader in the field of cosmetic sanitisation, the label offers an anti-bacterial cosmetic disinfectant and anti-bacterial cosmetic sanitising wipes designed to cleanse 99.9% of surface bacteria from makeup products and tools. Her environmentally conscious ethos finds expression in the usage of sustainable rPET resins for product packaging. This is further underscored by the brand’s partnership with an all-women enterprise for the manufacturing of its hand-poured brush and sponge cleansing balms.
As a gamechanger in the makeup sanitisation industry, Bianca’s vision for her label is to empower not only makeup artists and hairstyling professionals, but also every single person owning makeup products and beauty tools with the confidence that they aren’t inviting bacterial residue onto their skin. The road to safer makeup starts here with ‘Code Beauty by Bianca Louzado’.
